The Texas Sports Radio Network officially signed on in September, 1988, and in its first year of broadcasting completed 40 broadcasts.  To this date TSRN is the oldest, longest running, and the only independent Radio Sports Network in the state of Texas, that produces a full broadcast schedule for all three major sports (football, basketball and baseball) on radio and the Internet.

The Network continues to receive rave reviews for its creativity, innovative style, excitement and accurate reporting it brings to sports fans through its broadcast events.  The Network number of schedule events has grown over the years. A record 859 games in 2003-2004 were produced and heard including six state championship games, the National Junior College Baseball World Series, and The NCAA Super-Regional Baseball Tournament and the NCAA Regional Tournament held in Houston and the 2003 College World Series.  This year, is the company's 17th season.

TSRN set an incredible mark a couple of years ago producing its 1,000th broadcast!  On March 19th, 1999 in Austin, Texas, The Network celebrated it's milestone broadcast featuring the University of Houston and the University of Texas playing their second baseball game of its three game series. On September 20th, 2002 TSRN celebrated it's 2500th broadcast. with the Westfield vs Converse Judson game.

The leadership of The Network, known statewide for its innovative broadcasts, was the first network to use and then to refine, the use of the three man broadcast crew during its football and baseball production.  The Network,  was also the first and is still the only broadcast team, in the electronic media industry, to evolve a sideline reporter, from a fluff interviewer, to a solid member of the crew, as a third color analyst.

The Network has dazzled its listeners and competitors, for the past 17 years, with its three hour pregame show, heard before each broadcast of a state championship game. This has become a staple for TSRN, unmatched in the radio and Internet industry.  The teams, coaches, fans, administrators, and parents have come to expect THE SHOW when its their turn in the spotlight.

In 1999, The Network was the first to deliver a audio and video production of its football playoff games from the Astrodome and the Alamodome.  Also, the Network was the first to interact with its audience, introducing instant messaging via emails directly to the broadcast booth. Now with it's award winning website and with its innovation, creativity, never stand still approach to its business, the Network is poised for the future.  Its a future that will be studied, followed and copied by many.
